Course Description

An introduction to the theory of effective therapeutic engagement behaviors for individuals affected by a loved one’s addiction. (Core Functions: Counseling)

Learning Objectives

1. Review typical scenarios encountered by practicing therapists and interns.

2. Describe situational factors leading to ethical violations.

3. Gain experience in articulating reactions to areas of possible professional inappropriateness on the part of clinicians.
