Course Description

Open ethics discussion of typical ethics scenarios germane to emerging consensus around integrated treatment of psychiatric comorbidity (Core Functions: Screening, Intake, Orientation, Assessment, Treatment Planning, Counseling, Case Management, Crisis Intervention, Patient Education, Referral, Reports and Record Keeping, Consultation with Other Professionals)

Learning Objectives

1. Review typical scenarios encountered by practicing therapists and interns.

2. Describe situational factors leading to ethical violations.

3. Gain experience in articulating reactions to areas of possible professional inappropriateness on the part of clinicians.
