Course Description
An analysis of established counseling principles and techniques tailored to group counseling as differentiated from individual therapy (Core Functions: Assessment, Counseling, Patient Education)
Learning Objectives
1. Become aware of differences and similarities between counseling individuals and group facilitation.
2. Be able to assume the role of a facilitator of an addictive disorders treatment group.
3. Re-enact a hypothetical group counseling session using established group facilitation techniques and rationales.
