An introduction to the theory of effective therapeutic engagement behaviors for individuals affected by addiction. (Core Functions: Counseling)
Learning Objectives
1. Become aware of differences and similarities between counseling individuals and group facilitation.
2. Be able to assume the role of a facilitator of an addictive disorders treatment group.
3. Re-enact a hypothetical group counseling session using established group facilitation techniques and rationales.
