Course Description
An introduction to the theory of effective therapeutic engagement behaviors for individuals affected by psychiatric comorbidity. (Core Functions: Counseling)
Learning Objectives
1. Retain a general understanding of major psychiatric disorders other than substance-related and addictive disorders, their presentation and treatment.
2. Describe typical presentations of mood, anxiety, personality, psychotic and executive-function disorders.
3. Describe basic multidisciplinary treatment strategies for these patients, including medications.
