Course Description:

Introduction to best practices in treating gambling disorder (Core functions: Screening, Intake, Orientation, Assessment, Treatment Planning, Counseling, Case Management, Patient Education, Referral, Reports and Record Keeping, Consultation with Other Professionals)

Learning Objectives 

1. Acquire a more complete understanding of the nature of addictive disorders (emphasizing DSM-5 gambling disorder) and how they are created in the brain.

2. Learn about other factors that can create addictive disorders.

3. Develop understanding of causes and treatment directions in addictive disorders.
